Lovely Diamond and Sapphire Bow-Earrings in Yellow Gold and Platinum

Traditionally considered as a symbol of love and affection, the bow motif first appeared in jewellery in the 17th century at the French royal court of Louis XIV. In an era when emotions were rarely expressed, wearing bow jewellery was important: a pendant with a bow around the neck showed flirtation and playfulness, while a bow-shaped brooch pinned to the heart could be a sign of love.

Designed from a combination of 18 Karat yellow gold and platinum, these dazzling earrings are generously set with 28 diamonds in 8/8 cut, weighing 0.52 carats. Two sapphire drops with a total weight of 1.60 carats accent the bows. Their presence adds playfulness to the bijoux as well as highlights material contrast. The earrings have a secure screw-back posts and the perfect size to match both daytime and evening looks.
